Anne Christensen

Anne Christensen has been a CASA Coordinator in the 4th Judicial District (Southwest Iowa) since September 1999.  She has a bachelor's degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Therapeutic and a minor in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University.  She worked in the mental health field as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for 7 1/2 years with children, adults, and geriatrics with chronic mental health issues and/or drug and alcohol dependency.  Prior to her work with CASA, she served as a Volunteer Director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program working with volunteers 55 years of age and older in Pottawattamie and Mill Counties. In her work as CASA Coordinator, she has served on various boards and committees in Southwest Iowa such as the Council Bluffs Community Health Center, Friends Board of Directors for Children's Square U.S.A., Kids First, Shaken Baby Task Force-Prevent Child Abuse Pottawattamie County, Human Service Advisory Council, and the Magistrate Appointing Commission.
