Teresa Barnes has been a CASA Coordinator with the Iowa Child Advocacy Board for over eight years. She has a bachelor’s degree in Human Services. She has been in the child welfare field since 2002. She previously worked with adolescents in foster group care and young adults who aged out of the foster care system. Her passion includes advocating for children and families. Teresa is also committed to reducing disproportionality by supporting and training quality, culturally-competent CASA advocates that are well respected throughout the dependency court system. In addition to being passionate about child welfare issues, Teresa is an avid gardener.
